Today is Yom Kippur, one of the appointed times the Jews celebrate.  It is their Day of Atonement- a time of fasting and prayer for forgiveness of sins-individually and collectively. As a Christian, I join in remembrance of Christ's forgiveness of sins and ultimate redemption through His death on the cross, resurrection, burial, ascension, and soon return.

I remember that The Lord is King of all the earth and soon to come. I remember that our Lord is a God of new beginnings and He is faithful to forgive us and give us a fresh start when we repent for our sins. I remember that as I walk in the '"fruit of the Spirit" (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control), The Lord God is with me and I can expect to join Him in Heaven. I remember the sacrifice Christ made so that I can be saved and become adopted as His daughter. Lastly, I remember to constantly pray for Israel and His covenant faithfulness to His beloved people.

So today, I mind my inner sanctuary-clear it from all the clutter of unforgiveness, sin, negative self talk, and pride. I welcome hope and expectation, joy, and love.

One of my Pinterest Boards is Home Sanctuary.  I share all types of homes that I think are just fab!  My tastes vary from contemporary to eclectic to classic elegance.  In my musing of what it would be like to live in different places in the world, let me show you my thoughts.

I've always loved a bedroom fireplace, wonderful lighting and a fabulous chandelier.

Just a glimpse of one of my dream closets...

My home away from home.. Isn't this incredible? No fear here!
